FELLOWSHIP
Ensure special events are included in the annual planning
calendar. If there is not time to coordinate an event during the annual
planning session, the calendar must be checked and the activity rescheduled so
as not to conflict with other events already planned.
Coordinate with those responsible for each special event
and assist with planning, publicity, and support. These events may include
annual picnic, farewell fellowships, Harding chorus, holiday parties, etc.
Develop a "fellowship" program to bring members
together in smaller groups to encourage fellowship. Our purpose is to provide
the "tie that binds" between all members through fellowship with our
Christian family.
Recruit and train unit leaders.
Promote regular fellowship activities including:
Fellowship ( fun/social ) activities.
Care of sick and troubled within the fellowship group.
Congregational and community service projects.
Coordinate with the outreach/new members leaders in
development of a new member assimilation program which promptly assigns
existing members to new members for purposes of effective assimilation and
development of relationships.
Assign new members to a fellowship group within two weeks
of placing membership.
Keep contact with all members and advise them of important
news for the group; i.e., special events, sick members, etc.
