BUDGET AND FINANCE
Coordinate the annual budget preparation and presentation process.
Provide adequate accounting, tax compliance and financial statement
compilation.
See that the weekly contribution is counted and deposited.
See that all congregational financial commitments are met (writing and
distribution of checks).
Assure budget compliance by working with the other deacons and keeping them
abreast of current expenditures and how these meet or exceed the budget.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports that are given to
the elders and membership, communicating the financial position of the
congregation.
Assist in long-range planning by maintaining historical data that will help
in identifying financial trends.
Handle other miscellaneous expenses not related to other deacons.
